BREAKING FAST is a romantic comedy that follows Mo, an Arab-American man living in West Hollywood and learning how to navigate life post-heartbreak. Enter Kal, a sweet All-American guy who surprises Mo by offering to break fast with him during the month of Ramadan. As they learn more about each other, they fall in love over what they have in common, and what they don't.
The genesis of this feature film came about in the form of a short screenplay by Mike Mosallam that was brought to life in 2015. The short film enjoyed international acclaim through the likes of Cannes, Inside Out, Newport, Boston and many more. The full-length feature is fully developed and in the midst of post-production, and aims to be the first of its kind to feature a practicing Muslim character who is gay and not dealing with those two things in conflict but in harmony.
BREAKING FAST the feature went into production in late 2018, and is currently seeking final investment to complete post-production. There are many ways to get involved:
